Figa Sour
Winning design Moritz University project 2023
Moritz University is a project that aims to promote brewing and creative talent among Catalan universities. It is a project that began in 2020, where students of specialized degrees have the opportunity, with the help of master brewers, to make the next seasonal beer from Fábrica Moritz Barcelona.

After the success of previous editions, in this third edition they want to go one step further. They invite students from Catalan design schools to participate in this project by creating the graphic identity of the winning seasonal beer.
The proposal starts from the idea of sourty and summer, taking as a starting point for the realization of the copies the irony and the play on words of the previously chosen name "FigaSour". From here, the aim is to appeal to the public with a playful and acidic message, in order to make clear the values of the brand and more specifically of this new beer.

The graphic language is eclectic, combining a screen-printed typeface  with a cooler sans-serif typeface. Drawings and some handwritten and irregularly drawn marks are also added in order to also bring the proposal closer to the younger audience. It is a risky proposal in terms of the communicative tone, but playful and suitable for the summer season and the innovative nature that we see in the formulation of the beer.
